Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a junior, product-minded Software Developer (Builder) to help rapidly build and iterate on prototypes that progress into production-ready solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on building, enjoys ambiguity, and is deeply curious about how technology translates into real business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Build and iterate on rapid prototypes, taking them through production
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand problems and deliver solutions
Apply a product-first mindset with an emphasis on user experience and outcomes
Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and experimentation
Clearly articulate technical decisions and trade-offs
Required Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (strong preference for University of Texas graduates)
3+ years of coding experience outside of academic coursework
Portfolio required (live products, GitHub, or project demos)
Strong ability to communicate ideas clearly and thoughtfully
Required Technical Skills
Golang
TypeScript
Python
Preferred / Ideal Experience
Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
Strong HackerRank (or similar) profile
Experience with rapid, product-focused prototyping (not traditional backend-heavy roles)
Evidence of stakeholder collaboration and business-outcome orientation

RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementations
Full-stack prototyping (TypeScript / React + Python preferred)
User-centered design approach
Quantified results (users, adoption, performance improvements, etc.)
What an Exceptional Fit Looks Like
Shipped live products (URLs, GitHub repos, portfolios)
Full-stack experience with TypeScript/React + Python
Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily workflow
Strong product mindset supported by data and metrics
Side projects, open-source contributions, or entrepreneurial builds
Example: a builder who created a live AI product (e.g., Pairigo.com), implemented RAG, conducted extensive user interviews, and demonstrated clear business impact.
