Job Title: Sr. Database Administration
Location: Okemos or Farmington, MI – Hybrid (Need Only Local to MI)
Duration: 6+ months contract
Visa: Only USC, GC, GC EAD or H4 EAD
Exp Level: 12+ yrs
Pay Rate: $60/hr on C2C
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior DBA to design, optimize, and guide enterprise-wide database solutions. This role will be responsible for driving database strategy, ensuring high performance and availability, and mentoring technical teams while supporting a modern, multi-database environment.
Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
– 7+ years of Database Administration experience.
Hands-on experience with at least 3 of the following:
– Oracle
– Microsoft SQL Server
– PostgreSQL
– MySQL / MariaDB
– Snowflake
– MongoDB
Strong experience in:
– Database performance tuning and optimization.
– High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
– Backup and recovery strategies.
– Automation of database maintenance tasks.
– Experience working in Windows Server and/or Unix/Linux environments.
– Exposure to Cloud database technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
– Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
