Job Title: Python Scripting Engineer
Location: NYC, NY – F2F is required

Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Python Scripting Professionals with strong hands on expertise in automating tasks, building reusable scripts, and supporting platform or application needs. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Python fundamentals, scripting best practices, and working with APIs, file systems, data formats, and automation workflows in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Python scripts for automation, data processing, system operations, or application support.
- Build reusable modules and utilities following coding standards and best practices.
- Work with REST APIs to automate integrations, retrieve data, and orchestrate workflows.
- Manipulate and parse structured/unstructured data using Python (JSON, CSV, XML, logs, etc.).
- Implement automation around deployments, monitoring, reporting, or operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot existing scripts, identify root causes, and improve performance or stability.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable scripting solutions.
- Maintain documentation for scripts, workflows, logic, and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong 5- 8years hands on experience in Python scripting (functions, modules, OOP basics, error handling).
- Proficiency in working with REST APIs, HTTP methods, and request/response parsing.
- Strong understanding of data manipulation, including JSON, CSV, XML, and log processing.
- Experience with automation tasks, cron jobs, schedulers, or workflow triggers.
- Familiarity with common Python libraries such as:
os, sys, logging, requests, json, subprocess, etc.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable scripting code.
- Solid debugging and problem solving abilities.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines or automation tools.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Exposure to Databricks, Airflow, or orchestration frameworks.
- Version control experience (Git).
