Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience creating shop-floor work instructions/SOPs or process documentation in manufacturing (assembly, machining, packaging, or similar environments).
Working knowledge of standard work and Lean fundamentals (e.g., 5S, waste identification, visual management, problem solving).
Ability to capture and document manufacturing processes through observation, time studies/basic work measurement, and operator/technician interviews. Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to write unambiguous step-by-step instructions.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally (Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, EHS) and drive documents through review/approval.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management tools (e.g., SharePoint); comfort working with shop-floor systems (e.g., ERP/MES) is a plus.
Able to manage multiple priorities and spend time in production areas to validate standard work and support implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with time studies, line balancing, work measurement, or industrial engineering methods in a plant environment.
Strong capability with visual work instructions (photos/diagrams), including safety callouts, critical-to-quality steps, and specification/torque tables.
Experience supporting operator training, certification/qualification programs, and skills/coverage matrices across shifts.
Working knowledge of manufacturing documentation and systems (e.g., routings, BOMs, work centers, ECN/ECO, MES) and ability to read basic engineering drawings/specifications.
