Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Katalon Studio for web/mobile/API test automation. The ideal candidate should have solid understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting, CI/CD integration, and end-to-end QA processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio (Web, API, Mobile).
- Build and enhance keyword-driven, data-driven test automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automation test cases.
- Perform API automation using Katalon’s built-in REST/SOAP capabilities.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Maintain test objects in Katalon Object Repository and ensure stability of locators.
- Execute test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and drive issue resolution.
- Contribute to improving automation strategy, including reducing manual effort and increasing coverage.
- Document automation processes, frameworks, and execution reports.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong experience with Katalon Studio (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Selenium / WebDriver concepts (Katalon is built on Selenium).
- Knowledge of Groovy/Java for scripting in Katalon.
- Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Katalon.
- Experience with Git / Bitbucket / GitHub for version control.
- Experience with Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitLab CI for automation pipeline integration.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, XPath, CSS selectors (locator strategies).
- Familiarity with SQL queries for backend validation.
- Exposure to testing on mobile platforms (Android/iOS) using Katalon (optional).
- Experience with Agile / Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with TestNG/JUnit, even if not primary.
- Knowledge of other automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Postman) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based execution (Browser Stack, Lambda Test, Sauce Labs).
- Understanding of BDD/Cucumber (nice to have).

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
