Job Description
We are seeking a highly technical Senior Data Analyst with strong, recent Oracle experience to join a data and technology organization supporting mission-critical systems across multiple environments. In this role, you will be embedded within a collaborative team of DBAs, ETL engineers, and data management professionals, serving as a key analytical resource for complex data initiatives spanning Data Warehousing, ODS, ETL pipelines, and Data Governance.
Day-to-day, you’ll leverage your Oracle expertise to investigate and resolve data anomalies, support production environments, and contribute to the setup and ongoing maintenance of Data Virtualization and Master Data Management solutions. You’ll also play a meaningful role in shaping data documentation and standardization practices that impact both technical and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is deeply technical, has a genuine passion for data, and brings hands-on Oracle experience they’ve used recently — not just on paper. If you thrive in fast-paced agile environments and can bridge the gap between complex data systems and business needs, we want to hear from you.
Duties and Responsibilities
Investigate and analyze data anomalies and data issues reported by business stakeholders across Oracle and other enterprise environments
Collaborate with ETL, replication, and DBA teams to determine data transformations, data movement, and derivations — and document findings accordingly
Ensure consistent and proactive support methodologies are maintained across all aspects of data movement and transformation
Assist in break/fix efforts and production validation related to data derivations, replication, and data structures
Support configuration and ongoing setup of Data Virtualization and Master Data Management tools
Maintain and update documentation related to Data Standardization definitions, Data Dictionaries, and Data Lineage
Gather information from various data sources and interpret patterns and trends to inform business decisions
Manage multiple priorities effectively within a team-oriented, fast-paced agile environment
Required Experience & Skills
Recent, hands-on Oracle database experience is required — this is non-negotiable
4+ years of SQL experience working across OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data databases
4+ years of experience with Exadata and Oracle/SQL Server databases
4+ years in a Data Analyst role in a highly technical capacity
Extensive background in writing complex queries within Oracle environments
Strong working knowledge of Data Movement and Processing, including ETL, API, OLAP, and data tracking best practices
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Excellent communication skills — written and verbal
Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Nice-to-Haves
2+ years writing medium to complex stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQL a strong plus)
Experience with Denodo or similar data virtualization platforms
Master Data Management (MDM) experience
Big Data experience (Hadoop, MongoDB)
PostgreSQL and/or cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
