Job Description:
The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a key Epic CRM subject‑matter expert, responsible for gathering requirements, designing workflows, building CRM configurations, and supporting multi‑departmental processes that drive patient engagement, referral management, and operational efficiency. This role works closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure CRM workflows are optimized, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
You will support a high‑volume environment with multiple internal customers, managing work queues, configuring CRM tools, and ensuring seamless workflow handoffs across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Epic CRM build and configuration, including workflows, work queues, routing logic, templates, and departmental handoffs.
Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear, actionable tickets and build specifications.
Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and design CRM workflows that improve efficiency and patient experience.
Perform testing, validation, and deployment support, ensuring all changes meet quality, compliance, and operational standards.
Manage and optimize CRM work queues, ensuring accurate routing, ownership, and cross‑departmental workflow continuity.
Support multi‑team workflows, ensuring CRM processes flow seamlessly between departments such as scheduling, patient access, care coordination, and revenue cycle.
Document requirements, test cases, build decisions, and deployment steps with exceptional attention to detail.
Provide production support, troubleshooting issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
Collaborate with Epic analysts across modules (Ambulatory, Referrals, Healthy Planet, Cadence) to ensure CRM workflows integrate cleanly with enterprise Epic functionality.
Contribute immediately by leveraging prior Epic build experience to become productive within the first 1–2 days.
Required Qualifications
Epic CRM certification (preferred) or Epic Ambulatory certification with strong CRM experience.
2+ years of Epic analyst experience, including hands‑on build and configuration.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, thorough business requirements and translate them into technical build tasks.
Experience supporting testing, validation, deployment, and production troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and customer groups.
Highly detail‑oriented with strong documentation habits.
Experience working with work queues, routing logic, and multi‑department workflows.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Epic Campaigns, Compass Rose, or CRM‑related outreach tools.
Additional Epic certifications (Ambulatory, Referrals, Cadence, Healthy Planet).
Familiarity with clinical vocabularies (LOINC, ICD‑10) and coding systems (CPT).
