Azure Infrastructure Architect – Responsible for assessing the current Azure platform state, defining and evolving the target-state Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) architecture, and enabling platform capabilities required for secure, compliant, and scalable adoption. The role partners with application, operations, and governance stakeholders to deliver infrastructure-as-code (IaC), observability, subscription vending, and technical documentation/runbooks needed to support enterprise workloads.
- Azure architecture and platform engineering: subscriptions, management groups, RBAC, resource organization, and platform services discovery.
- Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) design and implementation (enterprise-scale patterns), including platform hardening and guardrails.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation (e.g., Terraform modules/pipelines; ability to standardize and reuse code).
- Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, and Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Monitoring, alerting, and observability engineering for production Azure environments; integration with enterprise tooling (e.g., Dynatrace) when required.
- Subscription vending / provisioning automation and self-service enablement aligned to enterprise governance.

- Architecture documentation: target-state diagrams, design documents, compliance validation evidence, and operational runbooks.
- Proven experience designing and implementing an enterprise Azure Landing Zone, including guardrails, controls, and operating model considerations.
- Ability to lead current-state discovery and perform migration assessment: resources discovery, application-to-resource mapping, dependency identification, and migration readiness findings.
- Hands-on IaC delivery: define standards, build/review reusable modules, and drive adoption through CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and codify monitoring/alerting baselines for production Azure workloads, including alert tuning, dashboards, and integration points with enterprise observability tools.
- Design subscription vending/provisioning processes (requests, approvals, policy assignment, networking/logging hooks) aligned to enterprise governance.
- Strong documentation discipline: create detailed design docs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks to enable handover and support.
- Security and compliance alignment: implement platform preventive/detective controls and work within established enterprise processes and tooling.
- Experience integrating Azure monitoring with Dynatrace (or similar APM/observability platforms) including data sources, tagging standards, and alert routing.
- Experience with multi-cloud account/subscription provisioning patterns (e.g., AWS account vending) and translating those patterns to Azure subscription vending.
