Job description:
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to develop end-to-end analytics. This role will require data warehouse development: modeling raw data into useful data sets for analysis purposes in the medallion architecture framework- bronze/raw, silver/cleaned and structured, gold/analysis-ready. Need someone with SQL skillset- ability to read, write, and validate logic. This role would be responsible for building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau. Need someone with a creative eye and business mindset who can use information design principles to best visualize data for quick speed to insight. This person will also be asked to conduct and present analysis and recommendations on operational problems. This role also supports other technical solutions beyond dashboarding using data and business know-how.
For someone to be successful in this role, they need to have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. This individual is expected to be resourceful in the role.
We work with data from tolling operations (traffic, devices, outages), customer experience (contact center, image processing, inventory fulfillment, billing, customer), roadside assistance, traffic management center, IT Infrastructure, Service Desk (similar to a help desk), and marketing. This is an exciting opportunity to work with large datasets from many different tools within Operations and IT functional groups.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in business intelligence role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Data visualization skills
- Advanced abilities in data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes
- Understanding of data stewardship
- Ability to validate logic with limited oversight
- Advanced SQL
- Ability to design and build automated workbooks in Tableau
- Excel (although we don’t do Excel reporting, this is an important tool to know when delivering ad hoc requests)
Education or Formal Training:
- Degree in an analytical field (finance, accounting, mathematics, computer science, economics, natural sciences) or equivalent
