Education: This position requires a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field. Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
General Experience: The proposed candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a BI Developer.
- 5+ years in BI/Analytics Engineering roles with a focus on dashboarding and KPI design.
- 2+ years hands-on building Amazon QuickSight dashboards at scale (SPICE datasets, RLS, parameters/controls, custom actions, usage & cost optimization).
- Strong SQL and dimensional modeling concepts for analytics consumption (star/snowflake, semantic layers) with performance-aware design.
- Experience connecting QuickSight to Athena, Redshift, S3 (Parquet/Iceberg), HealthLake, and operating as an analytics consumer under Lake Formation/IAM.
- Demonstrated ability to define KPIs and produce executive and operational dashboards with clear narratives and drill paths.
- Familiarity with healthcare/public sector data and privacy/security practices (HIPAA).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
