Senior Power BI developer in Dallas, TX – Onsite

Must: Microsoft Power BI,DAX and Power Query (M),SQL,Star/snowflake schemas

 

As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade analytics solutions and dashboards. You will be expected to work independently to translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-friendly BI solutions, fostering a culture of self-service analytics. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models (star/snowflake schemas).
• Advanced DAX & Power Query: Author complex Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M code to build advanced calculated measures and optimize data transformation processes.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, including cloud and on-premise data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports, optimizing data queries for faster rendering.
• Governance & Security: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspaces, and data privacy standards in accordance with data governance policies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Automation: Utilize Power Automate or Python to automate reporting workflows and improve efficiency. 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 

• Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting, specifically with Microsoft Power BI.
• Technical Skills:
• Expert knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
• Advanced SQL proficiency (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, query optimization).
• Data Modeling: Strong experience in dimensional modeling and building scalable data models (star/snowflake schemas).
• Power BI Service: Experience managing workspaces, app workspaces, and data gateways.
