This is a solid mid–senior level ETL/Data Engineer role with a healthcare client
Tech Stack Core Requirements
- IBM DataStage (6+ years – strong hands-on)
- SQL Server (complex queries + stored procedures + tuning)
- Unix/Linux (shell scripting + batch monitoring)
- Data Warehousing concepts
Since the client specifically wants healthcare, the candidate should have worked with:
- Claims data
- Member eligibility data
- EDI transactions (834, 837, etc.)
- HIPAA-compliant environments
- Healthcare data warehouses
- EMR/EHR integrations
Healthcare experience = understanding PHI + data compliance + payer/provider systems.
Without healthcare domain, submission may get rejected.
You want someone who:
- Has 6–10 years of ETL experience
- Has built complex DataStage jobs (parallel jobs preferred)
- Has strong SQL tuning experience
- Has worked in healthcare insurance or hospital systems
- Can work independently (since remote role)
Profile will be Rejected if:
- Only basic DataStage exposure
- Pure SQL developer with little ETL
- No healthcare exposure
- No Unix/Linux hands-on
- Only support role, no development
