Location: Remote

Rate – 53/hr. MX

 Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL and IBM z/OS environments and will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
  • Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS
  • Knowledge of VSAM, IMS (optional but preferred)
  • Familiarity with mainframe debugging and performance tuning tools
  • Understanding of SDLC and agile/waterfall methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mainframe modernization or migration projects
  • Exposure to distributed systems or APIs
  • Banking, insurance, or financial domain experience
  • Knowledge of tools like Endevor, Changeman, File-Aid, Abend-Aid
