Job Description:
Strong experience installing, configuring, and maintaining IMS DB and IMS TM on z/OS
Expertise in IMS upgrades, migrations, APARs/PTFs, and SMP/E maintenance
Deep knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, JES2/3
Experience with IMS Connect, ODBM, BMPs, IMS Tools
Strong understanding of IMS performance tuning and capacity planning
Hands-on experience with OMEGAMON, Mainview, RMF for monitoring and diagnostics
Advanced troubleshooting of IMS abends, logs, buffer pools, and recovery issues
Experience supporting DBD, PSB, ACBGEN processes
Knowledge of IMS Catalog and RECON dataset management
Experience with IMS Utilities (DFSURGU0, DFSURWF0, HALDB tools)
Proficiency in REXX, CLIST, and JCL scripting for automation
Experience integrating IMS with MQ, middleware, and distributed systems
Familiarity with IMS Open Database, JDBC, REST/API integrations
Knowledge of DB2, CICS integration with IMS
Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution
Understanding of mainframe storage (DFSMS, VSAM)
Strong performance analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in 24×7 production support environments
