Here is the API Developer with CVS- We are seeking an experienced API Developer to design, build, and implement a robust API layer connecting a Salesforce Experience Cloud microsite with a Python-based analytics model hosted in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The API will serve as the digital bridge enabling members of a health plan to access community resources aligned to their social determinants of health (SDOH) needs.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative engineer with deep experience developing secure, production-ready REST APIs in Python, ideally using FastAPI or similar frameworks, and integrating those services with large enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs to connect a Salesforce Experience Cloud microsite with backend analytic services in GCP.
Collaborate with the analytics team to define API endpoints, input/output schemas, and integration patterns.
Implement and test data exchange between the microsite and backend, ensuring smooth JSON-based request/response handling.
Work closely with Salesforce developers to support integration, authentication, and deployment workflows.
Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and compliance requirements (no PHI/PII expected in this project).
Participate in CI/CD processes (Jenkins-based deployment) and assist with code reviews, unit tests, and environment configurations.
Contribute to technical documentation and provide guidance to other teams for API consumption.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience developing APIs in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django REST Framework, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of RESTful design principles, JSON data handling, and API versioning.
Experience deploying applications in Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud Run, or similar).
Knowledge of OAuth2 / JWT / token-based authentication.
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD pipelines.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across analytics, engineering, and product teams.
Ability to thrive in large, matrixed environments (healthcare or enterprise background preferred).
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Cloud integration patterns.
Exposure to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures or ML-adjacent systems.
Understanding of API security, rate limiting, and performance optimization.
