Position Overview
Our direct client is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to contribute to the design and development of software solutions for current and next-generation Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role focuses on building highly complex, scalable applications that streamline supply chain operations while enhancing overall user experience.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-driven engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating across cross-functional teams. This role directly supports Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy by improving internal enterprise platforms that support vehicle planning, procurement, and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple functional teams to deliver value to internal and external stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and enhance modules within Tesla’s proprietary ERP platform, Warp, supporting vehicle planning, procurement, and manufacturing processes.
- Build scalable, maintainable backend solutions using technologies such as C#, Go, MySQL, and other open-source frameworks.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support enterprise-scale applications.
- Gain a deep understanding of both the business and technical aspects of the applications to maximize effectiveness and impact.
- Ensure timely completion of development tasks and small projects while adhering to organizational standards and best practices.
- Continuously learn, evaluate, and apply modern software development practices, tools, and architectural patterns.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize system performance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in web application development, including:
- API design and implementation
- Object-Oriented Programming and Design (OOP/OOD)
- Object-Relational Mapping (ORM)
- Strong backend development experience using technologies such as C#, Go, Java, or similar.
- Frontend development experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency with distributed version control systems such as Git.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a consistent track record of exceeding expectations.
