Title: Cybersecurity Identity and Active Directory Remediation Project Manager

Role Overview:
Project Manager to lead and drive a Cyber Security Identity Management and Active Directory (AD) Remediation initiative. This role will manage complex, cross-functional delivery across infrastructure, security, and audit teams while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and on-time execution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in high-visibility, regulated environments, coordinating multiple technical teams, and supporting organizations transitioning to Agile delivery models.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Project & Program Management:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of an Identity Management / Active Directory Remediation project, covering both on-prem AD and Entra (Azure AD) environments.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and work breakdown structures (WBS) to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Track dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans across multiple workstreams.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
• Coordinate and align efforts across:
o Identity & Access Management (IAM)
o Compute & Server teams
o Network Security & Network Services
o Cloud Engineering
o Build / Platform teams
o Audit, Risk & Compliance
o External vendors and service providers
• Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders to remove blockers and drive execution.
Governance & Communication:
• Drive project governance through:
o Daily/weekly standups
o Steering committee meetings
o Stakeholder and executive updates
• Provide weekly management status reports covering progress, risks, issues, budget, and upcoming milestones.
• Ensure clear documentation and audit-ready artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
Agile Delivery Support:
• Manage Agile backlogs, sprint planning, sprint execution, and release readiness, particularly for teams transitioning from waterfall to Agile.
• Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to ensure clear prioritization and delivery commitments.
• Monitor velocity, sprint outcomes, and delivery health across teams.
Change & Risk Management:
• Assist with coordination of policy updates, configuration changes, and formal change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Drive risk identification and mitigation, particularly related to identity security, privileged access, and directory services.
*Required Skills:*
* Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large-scale IT, Infrastructure, or Cyber Security programs.
* Lead end-to-end delivery of an Identity Management / Active Directory Remediation project, covering both on-prem AD and Entra (Azure AD) environments.
* Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team initiatives in enterprise environments.
* Strong experience with budget tracking, WBS management, and financial controls.
* Working knowledge of Active Directory (on-prem)
* Entra ID (Azure AD)
* Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts
* Familiarity with Cyber Security remediation initiatives (identity hardening, access controls, audit findings remediation).
* Experience working with or alongside Audit and Risk teams.
* Nice to Have: Exposure to CrowdStrike Identity Protection or similar identity threat detection tools.
* Nice to Have: Experience supporting security compliance or regulatory remediation efforts.
* Nice to Have: Agile / Scrum experience (CSM, SAFe, or similar certifications a plus).
* Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills. Ability to translate technical risks into business-relevant impacts.
* Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating under tight timelines.
* Confident facilitator who can drive decisions and accountability.
* Agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
* MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar project planning tools
* Confluence / SharePoint for documentation
* MS Teams / Zoom for collaboration
