Job Description – Project Manager (Finance Systems – SAP / Oracle)
Role Summary
The Project Manager – Finance Systems is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of ERP finance initiatives using SAP or Oracle platforms. The role partners closely with Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with financial, regulatory, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead ERP finance projects involving SAP (FI/CO, S/4HANA Finance) or Oracle (E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Financials).

Manage full project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Drive delivery of finance processes such as:

Record-to-Report (R2R)
-
Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
-
Order-to-Cash (O2C)
-
Asset Accounting and Cost Management
-
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Finance, SAP/Oracle functional consultants, Basis/Technical teams, and system integrators.

Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, RAID logs, and status reporting.

Ensure compliance with financial controls, SOX, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Manage stakeholder communication, executive reporting, and steering committee governance.

Oversee UAT planning, cutover strategy, and go-live execution.

Identify risks and dependencies and proactively implement mitigation plans.

Manage vendors and system integrators to ensure delivery quality and contractual compliance.

Support ERP transformations, upgrades, rollouts, and cloud migrations.
Required Skills & Experience
-
12–15+ years of experience in IT / ERP project management, with strong exposure to Finance systems.

Proven experience managing projects on:
-
SAP (ECC / S/4HANA – FI, CO)
-
Oracle (EBS or Oracle Fusion Financials)
-
Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.

Hands-on experience with:
-
ERP implementations, upgrades, or global rollouts
-
UAT, cutover, and go-live management
-
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and large cross-functional teams.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
-
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation or Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.

Exposure to global finance operations and multi-country rollouts.

Experience managing offshore/onshore delivery models.
