Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable backend services for our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing microservices, implementing personalization and recommendation systems, and integrating with large-scale data and analytics pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for e-commerce features such as product catalog, pricing, orders, and payments.
Build personalization and recommendation engines using behavioral data, user preferences, and ML APIs.
Implement and manage RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems (CRM, CMS, analytics, etc.).
Optimize backend performance and scalability for high-traffic e-commerce environments.
Collaborate with Data Science and DevOps teams to deploy personalized experiences in real-time (e.g., product recommendations, user segmentation).
Work with Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch for distributed data processing and caching.
Ensure best practices for security, data privacy, and transactional consistency.
Write unit/integration tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Java (8/11+), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
Knowledge of personalization frameworks, recommendation algorithms, or experience integrating with AI/ML APIs.
Hands-on with RESTful APIs, JSON, GraphQL, and API Gateway management.
Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch for scalable event-driven systems.
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in recommendation systems, A/B testing, or behavioral analytics.
Familiarity with Search and Personalization engines like Adobe Target, Bloomreach, or Dynamic Yield.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
