We are looking for a skilled Data Modeler with a strong background in Oracle databases and PL/SQL programming. The right candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Data Modeler Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling using Oracle database.
• Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• ETL knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
Data Modeler Responsibilities:
• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models using Oracle database.
• Evaluating existing data systems.
• Facilitate creation/migration of data objects (DDL) across Development/Quality Assurance/Production.
• Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
• Experience extracting data from various databases and analyzing large data sets for conversion into useful business information.
• Collaborate in meetings with product owners to understand the functional requirements
• Establish Standards, Guidelines, and Best Practices around data modeling initiatives.
• Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
• Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
• Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
• Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database and PL/SQL programming. Writing and optimizing PL/SQL statements for data manipulation and retrieval.
• Conducting performance tuning of PL/SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
• Experience with tools like Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, etc
