Requirement Senior Azure Data & Analytics Consultant (Client-Facing)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Azure Data & Analytics Consultant to lead and deliver enterprise-grade data, analytics, and integration solutions for US-based clients. This role is highly client-facing, requiring direct engagement with business and IT stakeholders, particularly in retail, supply chain, and ERP-centric environments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise across Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Fabric, and Dynamics 365 data models, with proven experience supporting production workloads and analytics pipelines integrated with ERP, WMS, TMS, and Trade Compliance systems.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Delivery

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for US-based enterprise clients, participating in workshops, design sessions, and solution reviews.
• Translate business reporting and analytics requirements into scalable Azure data architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure analytics solutions align with operational and strategic objectives.
• Provide onsite for client meetings in Austin and other US locations as required.

Data Platform & Architecture

• Design, implement, and support Azure-based analytical solutions using:
  Azure Synapse Analytics
  Azure Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering, Power BI integration)
  Synapse Link (including Dataverse / D365 data replication scenarios)
• Define data ingestion, transformation, and semantic modelling strategies for enterprise analytics.
  SQL Server & BI Development
• Develop and maintain:
  Microsoft SQL Server databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions
  SQL Server workloads hosted on Azure SQL Server VMs
• Design, deploy, and support:
  SSIS packages for ETL and data orchestration
  SSAS cubes (Tabular or Multidimensional) for enterprise reporting and analytics
• Tune performance, ensure data integrity, and support high-availability production environments.

Integrations & ETL

• Design and support integrations with:
  ERP systems (Ex: Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain, legacy ERP platforms)
  Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  Trade Compliance and external supply-chain applications
• Maintain and enhance supporting scripts, schedulers, and orchestration workflows.

Governance, Security & Operations

• Implement data governance, access control, and security best practices in Azure.
• Support production incidents, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on CI/CD and environment management.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning, optimization).
• Proven expertise in SSIS for complex ETL pipelines.
• Solid experience with SSAS cubes (Tabular and/or Multidimensional).
• Experience supporting SQL Server workloads on Azure SQL Server VMs.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated / Serverless SQL pools).

Azure Data & Analytics (Preferred)

• Experience with Azure Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Warehouse, Power BI).
• Experience with Synapse Link, particularly for Dynamics 365 / Dataverse data replication.
• Understanding of modern data lakehouse architectures and analytics patterns.

ERP & Domain Experience

• Experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain data models (AOT tables, entities, operational data) is added advantage
• Exposure to retail, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing analytics scenarios is highly desirable.

Client-Facing & Communication Skills

• Proven experience in client-facing roles with US customers.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Comfortable leading discussions, presenting solutions, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall experience in data, BI, or analytics roles.
• 4+ years of experience with Azure-based data platforms.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (Data Engineer, Fabric, or equivalent) are a plus.
