Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Architect to design, architect, and govern enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will define data architecture standards, ensure scalability, security, and performance, and guide data engineering teams in building robust cloud-based data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and own end-to-end data architecture on Azure

Design scalable solutions using Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Databricks
-
Establish data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, physical models)

Architect batch and real-time data processing solutions
-
Design data ingestion frameworks using Azure Data Factory
-
Define data governance, security, and compliance (RBAC, Purview, encryption)
-
Ensure best practices for data quality, lineage, and metadata management
-
Guide and mentor data engineers and development teams
-
Partner with business, analytics, and data science teams
-
Review and optimize existing data architectures for performance and cost
Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience as a Data Architect

Deep expertise in Azure Data Platform services:

Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)

Azure Synapse Analytics

Azure Databricks

Azure Data Factory

Azure SQL / SQL Server

Expertise in data warehousing, lakehouse, and modern data architecture patterns

Advanced knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning

Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, data governance, and compliance

Experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
Nice to Have:

Experience with Azure Purview / Microsoft Fabric

Exposure to real-time streaming architectures (Event Hub, Kafka, Stream Analytics)

Knowledge of Power BI architecture and semantic models

Azure certifications (DP-203, DP-600, AZ-305)
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
