Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ABAP Lead to drive the technical development and upgrade activities for our SAP S/4HANA upgrade project. The ideal candidate will lead a team of ABAP developers, ensure high-quality deliverables, and collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to achieve project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage ABAP development activities for SAP S/4HANA upgrade.
Analyze existing custom code and optimize for S/4 compatibility using tools like SAP Custom Code Analyzer.
Collaborate with functional consultants to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and performance optimization standards.
Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and support integration/system testing phases.
Manage transport requests and ensure smooth deployment across environments.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly during upgrade and cutover phases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in SAP ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, and ABAP on HANA.
Hands-on experience with S/4HANA migration/upgrade projects.
Proficiency in CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and Fiori integration.
Knowledge of SAP Enhancement Framework, BADIs, and User Exits.
Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, SPDD/SPAU adjustments, and SUM tool.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform and integration technologies.
Certification in SAP ABAP for HANA or S/4HANA Development.
