Having experience in SAP ABAP domain, have good expertise on SAP HANA S/4 system, including Code optimization, ALV Reports, SMART FORMs, BADI, BDC, Enhancement Framework, LSMW, BAPI, IDOCs, OOABAP, WebDynpro ABAP, Adobe Forms, Workflow.
Analyze and optimize ABAP programs, reports, function modules, and classes for performance.
Implement parallel processing techniques in ABAP to improve runtime for large datasets using:
Background Jobs (SM37 / Job scheduling) ABAP Parallel Processing Parallel Cursor Asynchronous RFCs / Remote Function Calls Parallelized SELECTs with ADBC or AMDP Design and optimize CDS views (basic, composite, consumption) for HANA performance. Implement HANA-optimized solutions using AMDP, SQLScript, and Table Functions. Optimize ABAP-managed database access including joins, aggregations, and SELECT statements.
Review and optimize associations, joins, and parameters in CDS views and Fiori apps.
Conduct performance analysis using ST05 SQL Trace, SAT, SE30, HANA PlanViz.
Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable ABAP objects with parallel execution capabilities.
Support migration of legacy ABAP code to S/4HANA optimized design, leveraging HANA and parallel processing.
Collaborate with Basis and functional teams to resolve performance bottlenecks.
Small/large-scale change/enhancements and improvements to the SAP solution.
Own and improve the current SAP build, define best practices through the current solution and contribute to the definition of the Centre of Excellence methodology.
Support end-users Acceptance Testing activities and participate in Production Operations and Release Management support.
Assist with upgrades, new releases and monitor performance of the technical objects.
BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, IDOCs, LSMW, writing user exits, BDC coding, and interfaces.
SAP ABAP/4 programming using: SAPScript, iDocs, BAPI, RFC.
Required skills and experience:
Worked in Full Cycle SAP Implementations
Experience and good understanding of working in SAP COE with focus on process governance standardization and reviews
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team developing skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with finance business leaders, IT peers and key vendors.
Strong preference given to those with direct experience with:
Hands-on experience with CDS views, associations, and OData services.
Hands-on experience with ABAP Parallel Processing techniques: ABAP Parallel Processing, Parallel Cursor, Asynchronous RFC, Background Jobs, and Batch Processing.
Experience with AMDP and table functions.
Expertise in performance tuning of ABAP programs and database queries.
Proficient with ST05 SQL Trace, SAT, ATC, STAD, ST12,Code Inspector.
Knowledge of ABAP on HANA optimization techniques (pushdown, calculation views, CDS table functions).
Data Dictionary: Creation of tables, views, data domains, data elements Reports using ALV, Classical and Interactive Designing and Modifying Print Programs and SAP Scripts/Smart Forms layouts Optimizing the existing SAP code for performance optimization Good sound knowledge in User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Framework Working knowledge in BAPIs Working knowledge in ALE/IDOCs Sound knowledge in OOABAP Good knowledge in SAP-XI/PI and BSP Good Knowledge in Workflow Knowledge in Adobe forms
Experience with IDocs, Proxies, and Webservices
Experience with developing CDS Views and HANA views.
