Position: Guidewire Engineer – Lead
Location: Warren, NJ, 07059 (Hybrid)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Engineer Lead with strong experience in PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter (any combination or multiple systems), along with hands-on development expertise in Gosu, Java, Integration frameworks, and Cloud deployments.
The Lead will be responsible for end-to-end solution design, development oversight, code quality, and guiding a technical team through complex Guidewire implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead the design and development of Guidewire solutions (PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter).
Provide technical leadership to onshore/offshore developers, ensuring delivery excellence.
Review technical specifications, integration designs, and code.
Development & Customization
Develop and implement Guidewire configurations: PCF, Gosu classes, Data Model amendments, Product Model, rules, and workflows.
Build and maintain integrations using messaging (SOAP/REST), plugins, batch processes, and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Kafka, etc.).
Participate in cloud migration (AWS/Azure) or Guidewire Cloud upgrade activities.
Project Execution
Work closely with BA, QA, Architects, and Scrum teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure sprint planning, groomed user stories, and technical readiness.
Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical documentation.
Quality & Best Practices
Maintain coding standards and best practices for Guidewire applications.
Conduct code reviews, performance optimization, and troubleshoot complex issues.
Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of the solution.
Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of total IT experience, with Guidewire development experience.
Expertise in Guidewire configuration & integration using Gosu, Java, GUnit, GWPL.
Strong hands-on knowledge of PCF, Data Model, Product Model, Rules, and Plugins.
Experience with SOAP/REST APIs, XML/JSON, Messaging, and Web Services.
Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps).
Experience with SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) and performance tuning.
Good to Have
Guidewire Certification (ACE/Specialist/Professional).
