Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Lead to oversee the design, configuration, and enhancement of Workday HCM modules across the organization. The ideal candidate will partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to drive efficient HR operations, process improvements, and platform optimization. This role will lead end-to-end Workday initiatives including enhancements, integrations, testing, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Workday HCM configuration, governance, and enhancement initiatives across core HR functions.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of Workday modules including Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, and Reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to gather requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and deliver scalable Workday solutions.
- Oversee Workday releases, impact analysis, regression testing, and change management activities.
- Troubleshoot system issues, drive root cause analysis, and provide Tier 3 support.
- Lead data audits, dashboards, and advanced Workday reports / calculated fields.
- Partner with integration teams to ensure smooth data flows between Workday and downstream systems (Payroll, Finance, ATS, LMS, etc.).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and system roadmaps.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Workday analysts or module owners.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Workday HCM implementation, support, or production management.
- Strong hands-on expertise in multiple Workday modules (Core HCM required).
- Experience with Workday Business Process design, calculated fields, dashboards, EIBs, and Workday reporting.
- Deep understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading end-to-end Workday changes, projects, or enhancement cycles.
- Workday Pro or Workday Certification (Core HCM or additional modules).
- Experience working with global, enterprise-level Workday environments.
- Familiarity with integrations using Workday Studio, PECI, or other middleware tools.
- Experience supporting complex HR transformation programs or M&A activities.
