Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a Minnesota state government client on complex IT and business projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong project and stakeholder management skills, PMP and CSM certifications, and prior experience working with state or public-sector clients.

Responsibilities
Project / Program Planning and Delivery
• Develop and maintain project plans using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

• Define scope, schedule, deliverables, and milestones; ensure alignment with business goals.
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects within agreed baselines.
• Use departmental tools for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.

Team and Stakeholder Management
• Lead project teams and, where needed, coach junior project managers.

• Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams and divisions.
• Build strong relationships with state stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to sponsors.

• Communicate status, risks, and issues to leadership and escalate when appropriate.

Risk, Budget, and Change Management
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

MN Project Manager

• Develop and manage project budgets; monitor spend against baselines.

MN Project Manager

• Lead change management activities to support solution adoption and process adherence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED and nine (9) years of experience managing multiple IT and business projects – Associate degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Project Management may count as two years of experience – Bachelor’s degree or higher in the above fields may count as four years of experience

MN Project Manager

• Two (2) or more years in a lead role requiring collaboration across multiple divisions and levels.

MN Project Manager

• Proven experience delivering projects for a US state government client (Minnesota state experience strongly preferred).
• PMP certification (active).

MN Project Manager

• CSM certification (active).

MN Project Manager

• At least two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Project.

MN Project Manager

• At least one (1) year of experience with Azure DevOps.
