Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Job Description:
Strong knowledge of Postgres architecture.
Experience with different types of backup and restores in Postgres.
Experience with database upgrades on minor and major versions.
Hands-on experience with database replication and point-in-time recovery.
Day-to-day operations and troubleshooting performance issues such as load average, locks, blocking and long-running SQLs. Familiarity with commonly used PostgreSQL configuration parameters and system tables. Exposure to PostgreSQL maintenance tasks. Experience with PostgreSQL deployments in cloud environments such as AWS (RDS or EC2) or GCP. Knowledge of high-availability solutions like Repmgr, pgpool or EFM. Proven experience administering multi-terabyte databases. Ability to independently learn new technologies. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams.
Background in building large database infrastructures supporting high transaction volumes in mission-critical environments.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
