Title: SAP MM Analyst
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Contract
This role is designed to provide critical, hands on support for daily materials management and warehouse operations within a small sporting goods distributor. The core objective is to ensure uninterrupted flow of goods and maintain accurate inventory records while the permanent team dedicates its time to the new SAP Materials Management MM software implementation.
Key Responsibilities
– Inventory Management:
– Execute all goods receipts for incoming purchase orders, ensuring accuracy against packing lists.
– Process goods issues to fulfill sales orders and manage internal material transfers.
– Perform cycle counts and assist with stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy in the current non-SAP system.
– Warehouse Operations:
– Coordinate the organization, storage, and retrieval of stock items within the warehouse.
– Ensure adherence to basic warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.
– Assist in the preparation and dispatch of shipments, verifying all required documentation is present.
– Purchasing Support:
– Handle administrative tasks related to current vendor relations (e.g., following up on delivery status, filing purchase documents).
– Flag low stock levels or discrepancies to the purchasing team for urgent action.
– Issue Resolution:
Key Requirements
Practical experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or materials management environment.
High degree of physical stamina and ability to work in a warehouse setting.
Exceptional attention to detail for inventory counting and transaction processing.
Familiarity with inventory systems (any platform) and basic proficiency in MS Excel.
A proactive and independent work ethic is essential to keep operations running smoothly.
