Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect with deep expertise in data engineering and architecture, specializing in Microsoft Fabric. As an individual contributor, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across enterprise environments. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical strategies using Microsoft’s modern data stack.

 Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

Design end-to-end data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Direct Lake mode.
Define and implement data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
Engineering & Delivery

Build robust data pipelines using Fabric-native tools and Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Functions).
Develop reusable frameworks for data integration, quality checks, and metadata management.
Collaborate with BI developers and data scientists to enable advanced analytics and machine learning workflows.
Governance & Security

Implement data governance policies including lineage, cataloging, and access control using Microsoft Purview and Fabric capabilities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and enterprise security protocols.
 Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics solution design.
Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI.
Experience designing solutions for large-scale distributed systems and real-time data processing.
Deep understanding of data modeling (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas), ELT/ETL design, and performance tuning.
 Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
Experience with data mesh, data fabric, or modern data stack principles.
Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
