Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM iSeries (AS400) application development, maintenance, and support. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing software solutions on the AS400 platform to meet business requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that support our organization’s operations. Key responsibilities include analyzing user requirements, developing new programs, modifying existing applications, and providing technical support for AS400 systems. You should be proficient in RPG, CL, COBOL, and SQL, and have experience with DB2 databases. Familiarity with modern integration techniques, such as APIs and web services, is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. You will also be expected to document your work, follow best practices, and participate in code reviews.
