ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Extensive hands-on experience in Windows Active Directory.
Installation and configuration of Active Directory domain controllers.
Deployment of Microsoft security hotfixes.
Upgrading the Active Directory environment following change management processes.
Managing system properties, policies, and services within the Active Directory structure.
Handling schema updates.
Managing Active Directory domain controller FSMO (Flexible Single Master Operations) roles. Configuring and managing Group Policy Objects (GPO). Adding, removing, and configuring Active Directory sites, site links, and subnets. Installing and configuring DHCP servers. Diagnosing and resolving issues related to the Directory Replication service. Configuring and managing AD DNS services. Creating or removing trust relationships.
Experience with AD disaster recovery and continuity planning.
Maintaining overall security of the Active Directory domain.
Conducting root cause analysis.
Automating Active Directory processes using PowerShell scripting.
Excellent customer handling and presentation skills.
Analyze the existing Active Directory environment to identify technical and operational challenges.
Develop continuous improvement action plans.
Utilize migration tools (such as Quest Migration Manager QMM, Forensit, BitTitan, ShareGate, Cloudyn, Cloudhighway) or any third party tools to facilitate smooth transitions.
Migrate Active Directory domains from on-premises to cloud or between on-premises environments. Troubleshoot migration-related issues.FileServer migration, deployment of DFS Familiarity with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web Single Sign-on (SSO), and OAuth. O365 Migration (Added advantage) Expertise in O365 tenant to Tenant migration using Quest , Bittitan Should be able design, deploy and run the migration project ( Carveout scenario) Knowledge of Azure VDI, Remote Desktop Services
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
* Certifications relevant to the services provided (certifications carry additional weightage on a candidate's qualification for the role)
* MCITP
* MCSA
* ITIL Foundation
* Cloud Certification if any
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Knowledge of Banking, manufacturing, Travel, and Healthcare industries, their regulations, and laws
* Ability to plan activities and projects well in advance and consider possible changing circumstances.
* Hands-on IT experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, and more.
* Ability to Script
* Acts as the main interface between IT, project stakeholders, and end users
* Provides technical support and guidance to various stakeholders, including business executives, IT admins, and end users in implementing messaging-based business processes end user questions relating to Active Directory, windows server, specifically supporting the implementation of new deployments, migration strategies, and troubleshooting problems that may occur in the deployment.
