Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the design and implementation of secure IT systems. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to integrate security requirements throughout the system development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and integrate security requirements into system designs
- Design secure architectures and ensure compliance with risk standards
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement security best practices
- Contribute to technical documentation and security deliverables
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- 8+ years of system security engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud security
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and container security
- Active CISSP (with ISSE, ISSAP, or ISSMP focus or equivalent)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week in Washington, DC
