• Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP custom code enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and workflows within the SAP S/4HANA/RISE environment.
• Work on ABAP Objects, Core Data Services (CDS), ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) as needed.
• Backend work for Fiori: support Fiori Apps via ABAP, extensions and integration (not necessarily UI design).
• Handle integration development: IDocs, RFC/BAPI, Web Services, SOAP/REST, and possibly interface with SAP Integration Suite or similar.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design, estimation and planning for releases.
• Own or assist in resolving production incidents, especially for Americas region (on-call or support during critical periods, possibly around regulatory deadlines or holidays).
• Collaborate with architects, functional analysts, infrastructure, in order to ensure solution architecture, system performance, scalability, and compliance.
• Provide technical documentation, unit testing, and ensure adherence to SAP best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong 12 + ABAP development experience (custom code, enhancements, modifications) in SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Familiarity with ABAP Objects, CDS, and newer SAP ABAP technologies (e.g. RAP) would be a plus.
• Experience working on Fiori back-end work (extensions, back-end services).
• Solid experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, SOAP/REST).
• Ability to support production incidents / urgent fixes, ideally covering Americas timezone business hours.
• Experience across multiple SAP projects/releases; exposure to release cycles, migrations or code remediation helps.
• Good understanding of regulatory/compliance requirements in business/regional context (if government/regulatory work is required).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging skills, code quality, performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable working in cross-regional teams (EU, Americas etc.).

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, SAP Build / process extensions.
• Experience in multiple functional areas (e.g. FI, MM, SD, PP etc.) to understand broader business context.
• Familiarity with on-call rotations or urgent incident support.
• Past exposure to working during holiday or year-end regulatory periods
