About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Engineer with strong expertise in building and deploying APIs using FastAPI. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing robust, scalable backend services and deploying them in production environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop APIs, integrate services, and ensure efficient deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs using FastAPI.
- Build scalable backend services that integrate with databases and third-party systems.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage FastAPI applications in production environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms).
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end.
- Implement best practices for testing, CI/CD pipelines, and API security.
- Troubleshoot, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python with proven experience in backend/API development.
- Expertise in FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Flask/Django, with clear preference for FastAPI).
- Experience deploying FastAPI applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and/or using Docker & Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and standards.
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and ORM tools (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Tortoise ORM).
- Familiarity with authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
