Job Description Software Engineer – Elixir Experience Level 6-10 years
Position Overview: Senior Software Engineers with a strong background in Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView technologies. The candidate will have expertise in distributed systems, advanced PostgreSQL usage, and the ability to take ownership of features, actively participate in architectural and design discussions, and guide development processes.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Elixir, Phoenix Framework, LiveView, and OTP.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL (EnterpriseDB), including complex query optimization and database performance tuning.
Knowledge of distributed systems and Elixir clustering with LibCluster.
Familiarity with GraphQL for API development
Development experience in other languages such as Go or Swift is a plus.oStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView.
Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in design discussions.
Implement real-time, interactive user interfaces with Phoenix LiveView and WebSocket-based features.
Optimize PostgreSQL queries and manage schema design with over 30 specialized tables.
Utilize Oban Pro for complex background job processing and sophisticated job queuing.
Enhance real-time updates using Phoenix PubSub.
Apply advanced PostgreSQL features, including query composition using Ectos Macro API, indexing, performance tuning, and database migrations.
oWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with intelligent batching in distributed scanning.
Knowledge of responsive design principles.
Background in scalability and performance optimization
