We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional QA Software Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience, specializing in Commercial Lines insurance within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions tailored specifically for Commercial Lines insurance operations. You will lead the design and execution of test strategies, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and drive the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Commercial Lines insurance, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in software testing and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
Extensive hands-on experience with Commercial Lines insurance processes, products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
Develop comprehensive test plans with the functional test design & execution approach.
Develop test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
Execute test cases and scenarios, ensuring thorough testing coverage.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure accurate testing.
Utilize Agile methodologies to drive efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Coordinate with offshore testing teams if applicable, providing guidance and support as needed.
Identify and escalate issues and risks, working closely with project managers and stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner.
Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of software delivery in the Commercial Lines insurance domain.
Requirements
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Sr. Software QA Engineer or similar role, with a focus on testing software applications in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, particularly in Commercial Lines.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing techniques, and best practices.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with keen diligence.
Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Understanding of end-user perspectives and the ability to advocate for the end-user experience during testing.
Good to Have:
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, INS 21/24 or Agile certifications are desirable.
