Role: Product Owner
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Locals Needed)
Job Description:
Identify and assess client’s business requirements.
Clearly define the scope of work to be completed.
Document detailed requirements for the development team to work from.
Collaborate with the Stakeholders, Architects and development team to create solutions.
Review completed solutions to confirm requirements have been met.
Present solutions to involved stakeholders.
Work with other Business Analysts to review and improve standards.
Work with the Manager to review project timelines, scoping, and project statuses.
Take functional lead of the overall project teams as the Product Owner
Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
Participate, Own scrum ceremonies
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Lead the planning for product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Plan and run small to large client projects
Requirements and Qualifications:
Solid experience as a Business Analyst, at least 5+ year(s) ideally
Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 5+ year(s)
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proven experience with high level planning, problem solving and analysis.
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
Creative thinker with a vision
Strong communication skills and the ability to draw out the needs and requirements of clients.
Quick learner that can be put into new situations and quickly become a domain expert.
Analytical skills along with being able to conceptualize, design and document new features and business requirements.
Attention to details.
Excellent client service and communication skills.
Skills:
- Knowledge, hands-on experience in Jira, Confluence
- Knowledge, hands-on experience in MS Visio or in similar softwares
- Writing basic SQL queries
- Technical background will be a plus
