DBA Developer

Job Description:

•            Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

•            5+ years of DBA experience, with strong hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL.

•            2+ years of experience managing Oracle databases, preferably via AWS RDS.

•            Deep understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.

•            Experience with cloud-native database deployments (especially AWS RDS, Aurora).

•            Proficiency in writing and debugging SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PL/SQL.

•            Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or pgAdmin.

•            Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, logical/physical replication, and database security.

•            AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Solutions Architect Associate).

•            Experience with Kubernetes and containerized database deployments.

•            Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.

•            Experience in scripting (Python, Bash) for automation.

•            Knowledge of other database systems (MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB) is a plus.

•            Collaborate with developers to support application performance through SQL tuning, schema design, and database best practices.

•            Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI).

•            Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

•            Develop and maintain database documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
