Sr Java GCP Developer The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Core Java principles, hands-on expertise in building scalable RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, and experience deploying and operating services on GCP. Familiarity with Google Cloud Dataproc and/or Google Cloud Dataflow will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and expose secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
- Implement microservices architecture and ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend services.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage services on Google Cloud Platform.
- Work with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.
- (Preferred) Design and manage data processing workflows using Dataproc (Apache Spark) or Dataflow (Apache Beam).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and coverage.
- Follow best practices for code quality, version control, CI/CD, and documentation. Required Skills and Experience Strong programming skills in Core Java (Java 8+).
- 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native application deployment.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cloud SQL, Firestore).
- Experience with message queues (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.). Preferred (Nice to Have)Experience with Google Cloud Dataproc (Apache Spark) or Google Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam).Exposure to data engineering workflows or ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on GCP.
