Terraform Cloud Engineer
Role: Terraform Cloud Engineer
Location: Austin TX (100% Onsite)
CTH Only (Visa Independent candidates only) – locals or TX
Key Skills – Terraform, Kubernetes, VertexAI, SQL, Python, Software Engineering and platform admin experience
Required Qualifications:
- Overall 10+ yrs experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field OR related practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role (Infrastructure or Application)
- 2+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- 5+ years in a programming language (Java, Python, Go desired)
- Experience in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired)
- Proven ability to design components in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired).
- Experience in cloud networking and compute (GCE, Firewalls, etc.), and IaC Resources and Modules setup (Terraform)
- Strong Software Engineering and Design background – Java, Python, Go – with interest in Cloud Platform Engineering. Should have strong Software Engineering concepts and fundamentals.
- Experience on standing up / engineering Cloud Platform infrastructure from scratch (Greenfield Experience) with best practices implementation.
- Should have strong Kubernetes engineering experience.
- Should have strong Terraform code / modules writing experience (from scratch instead of modifying the existing code.
- Should be able to drive the Cloud Infrastructure setup independently.
- Should have experience or should be able to provide the automation solution ideas for the Cloud Platform Provisioning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- VertexAI experience
- Experience engineering cloud services to meet security and compliance in a regulated environment
- Experience in optimizing cloud resources based on cost and service availability
- Experience in design and support of platform services for large enterprise teams
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions desired)
- Understanding and execution of SRE principles and practices for delivering platform services at scale
