Role: Ab Initio Developer

Locations: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months

Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3 Days every week. Local or candidates from Nearby states only.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Ab Initio toolset.
Write, test, and debug complex ETL processes and workflows in Ab Initio.
Work with large-scale data sets, ensuring efficient data transformation and data flow management.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver optimal data solutions.
Perform data mapping, data cleansing, and data validation tasks.
Develop custom scripts, data processing jobs, and report generation in the Ab Initio environment.
Optimize Ab Initio graphs and workflows for better performance.
Conduct code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data processing, performance, and data quality.
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and production deployment.
Document technical designs, processes, and workflows.
Provide support for production issues and assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
 

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio (Co>Operating System, Graphical Development Environment (GDE), and Control Center).
Experience in building and optimizing complex ETL processes, transformations, and data integration workflows.
Proficient in Ab Initio’s components such as Repositories, Metadata Hub, and Business Rules Environment.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and database technologies (SQL, Oracle, DB2).
Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of Ab Initio graphs and workflows.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
Knowledge of data integration best practices, data migration strategies, and data governance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
