Senior Apigee Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Senior Apigee Engineer with strong experience in both hybrid and SaaS environments. The candidate will design, implement, and maintain Apigee API management solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support API integrations and modernize legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and manage API proxies on Apigee Edge for hybrid and SaaS deployments.
Implement API policies for security, traffic management, and analytics.
Integrate Apigee with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and on-premises systems.
Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize response times.
Provide technical leadership, guiding best practices in API management and design.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines.
Stay updated with Apigee product enhancements and emerging API trends.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Apigee API management, including hybrid and SaaS environments.
Proficiency in API design (REST, SOAP), JSON, XML, and OAuth.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and CI/CD tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
