Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing laboratory equipment, furniture, fume hoods, and tabletops. Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidEdge is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design and develop mechanical components and systems for laboratory equipment, furniture, fume hoods, and tabletops.
– Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and SolidEdge.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet specifications and requirements.
– Conduct simulations and analyses to validate design performance and safety.
– Oversee the prototyping and testing of new designs.
– Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing products.
– Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
– Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly in laboratory equipment and furniture.
– Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidEdge.
– Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with fume hoods and tabletop design.
– Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and regulations.
