Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Solution Architect to lead large-scale, Azure-led migrations and deliver resilient, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures for a major healthcare client. You will own end-to-end architecture across discovery, landing zone design, migration planning, execution, and post-cutover optimization, partnering with product owners, engineering, and client stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

 

Core Responsibilities

– Lead detailed discovery and workload assessment to determine migration readiness and rationalize applications and dependencies.

– Design and implement Azure Landing Zones with policy-driven governance and security guardrails.

– Plan and execute migration waves using Azure Migrate, ASR, and Database Migration Service; manage pilot and production cutovers.

– Integrate network, identity, and security components including VNets, Private Link, Key Vault, Conditional Access, and Azure Firewall.

– Validate performance, reliability, and cost efficiency post-migration.

– Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, PMO, business, vendor, DB, infra, and security teams; produce documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.

– Provide technical leadership, coach engineering teams, and enforce architecture patterns and standards.

 

Required Qualifications

– 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years as an Azure-focused Architect.

– Proven delivery of multi-wave Azure migrations from on-prem/hybrid environments.

– Deep knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.

– Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate, ASR, DMS, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

– Strong documentation capability (logical/physical/data-flow diagrams and operational runbooks).

– Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

 

Technical Skills (Core)

– Networking: Hub-spoke, vWAN, ExpressRoute/VPN, DNS, Private Link.

– Identity & Security: Entra ID, RBAC/PIM, Conditional Access, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault.

– Data & Integration: Azure SQL/MI, PostgreSQL, ADF, Synapse, Event Hub, Service Bus.

– Containers & DevOps: AKS fundamentals, GitHub/Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management.

– Automation/IaC: Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Azure Policy.

– Observability: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Backup/DR patterns.

 

Education & Certifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

– Azure Architecture/Admin certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104 or equivalent).

 

Nice to Have

– Healthcare domain familiarity (HIPAA/PHI).

– Multi-cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP).
