Job Description:
LIMS Developer II, the role:
- As a member of the Bioinformatics team, you will work closely with other Bioinformatics developers and laboratory staff to provide technical leadership and develop & deploy workflows for our laboratory LIMS that enable automated high throughput workflows for our sequencing laboratories.
- This professional can work remotely.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop workflows for molecular genetics testing and deploy them to laboratory informatics systems
- Ensure availability, performance, and scalability of workflows
- Work closely with bioinformatics engineers and lab and R&D scientists to gather and implement requirements for the automation framework
- Support testing requirements
- Build and maintain code that interacts with a 3rd party vendor application
To qualify, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- B.S. in Bioengineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years of experience
- 3+ years of experience working in a regulated industrial life sciences environment or equivalent
- For the LIMS Developer, we are essentially looking at developers with technical competency in Python, JavaScript, vue.js, Git(lab/hub), and who can work in a Linux environment.
