Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Alation Analytics & Power BI Developer with strong SQL skills to design, develop, and optimize data analytics and visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making by leveraging Alation, Power BI, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize data models using Alation Analytics and Power BI.
• Design and implement interactive dashboards & reports tailored to business requirements.
• Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
• Ensure data governance and metadata management within Alation.
• Collaborate with business teams to identify KPIs and reporting needs.
• Automate data workflows for efficient data processing and analytics.
• Perform data validation and troubleshooting to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and IT teams to optimize solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and Alation-Power BI integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expertise in Alation Analytics for data cataloging and governance.
• Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query, and advanced visualizations.
• Proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries, optimization, and database management.
• Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI architecture.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and enterprise reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation.
• Familiarity with AI-driven analytics and business intelligence tools.
