We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity. You should have experience working in an Agile / Scrum / Kanban environment, partnering with business stakeholders (Product Owners, Product Managers) in defining agile requirements (Epics/Features & Stories) and enabling agile teams to deliver. You will be responsible for managing end to end technical design, development, production, enhancements, and support of Products within Offer and Order APC (Agile Product category) . Additional responsibilities as follows:
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Commercial Managers and Senior Product Managers and development teams to ensure that the team clearly understands the required functionality to meet market/consumer needs.
Collaborating with product, project and development stakeholders and teams, gathering requirements, coordinating dependencies and identifying risks and opportunities.
Conducts research, performs studies to obtain data; and analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specialization.
Provide business knowledge, including market sizing and segmentation, target customer/user definition, competitive positioning, industry trends, etc.
Working closely with the Product Owner on one or more Agile development teams by translating product inputs into well-defined functional requirements and user stories.
Lead story grooming sessions or requirements clarifications sessions.
Translating product strategy into requirement documents, using cases and process flows.
Works with application support and development team to fix software bugs and escalated issues.
Ability to write necessary stories to deliver functionality, such as user interaction stories, or system integration stories or API level stories.
Interact with UX team to understand the customer experience to define the features and stories and translating them to scenarios for development automation testcases.
Prioritize the backlog, groom and maintain healthy backlog. Update and track defects.
Documents, analyzes and proposes process changes or re-engineering approaches based on an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to current and future state business and technical environments
This role represent the needs of the business( interface) – Includes site performance and reliability (operational excellence) and measuring the success of functionality (e.g., analytics)
Participate in sprint ceremonies and accept the stories to sign off for launch.
Required Skills
Experience in API practice/program at a large organization
Experience in Cloud services especially AWS
Experience developing, testing and deploying APIs.
Experience building applications based on Microservices Architecture
Experience with VersionOne, GIT.
Strong experience in discovery, identification, and documentation of APIs
Experience in Airline Domain
Ability to work with multiple IT and business teams to gather and document API requirements
Experience developing requirements and test scenarios for automated test suites for APIs
Demonstrated experience with Agile or other rapid application development methods
3 – 5 years of project coordination and previous airline business experience is preferred
Must possess the technical expertise to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs
Candidate must have the ability to deliver quality work on time and translate planning into action by following applicable established procedures or methodologies
Must also have the ability to proactively monitor and control task status by collecting and analyzing task data to anticipate and address barriers
Coaches and mentors team members on business processes and in testing
Works well within tight deadlines (able to prioritize)
Ensure that the methodology, standards and procedures are adopted and implemented
Ensure that the technical solutions meet the customers’ business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is high
Act as a Point of contact for technical issues, creating documentation, monitoring service levels
Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers

Knowledge of building, deploying and scaling applications in cloud platform (AWS – preferred, GCP, Azure).
Strong problem solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration
Desired Skills:
Prefers a BS/MS degree, notably in a technical or scientific field or equivalent experience.
Software development experience using Java or Python. Knowledge in Spring boot, AWS.
Functional knowledge of the airline business or airline IT processes;
