Job Description

  1. 1. The Objective 

Objectives Description

  1. 1. Deploy a Snowflake warehouse to support ongoing business needs and dynamic data solutions
  • 2. Cleanse and migrate data in support of the warehouse 

3.  Hand-off technical documentation for support and success post-deployment

4. Advise BPX on their overall architecture, governance, and implementation strategy 

  1. 2. Scope of Delivery

BPX is in the process of migrating to a Snowflake virtual data warehouse.   Apex has identified a team as proven experts in their field to facilitate this work.  As a managed service, related activities include data cleansing and migration, along with associated testing.  Data Engineering and migration, along with solution leadership and a value-driven approach, will work to support BPX’s efforts towards a successful data transformation.

 

Specific scope: 

 

  1. 1. Design and develop the Operational data integration framework for the following subject areas
    • o Enterprise Data Mart
    • o PIN Data lake and Tag Catalog
    • o Master Data Management data domains: Well, Facility, Equipment, Org Hierarchy
    • 2. Migrate historical datasets for the above mentioned subject areas
    • 3. Provision framework including Azure DevOps integration and initial metadata-driven design based on client’s current MS SQL framework

Providing technical documentation for post-deployment support (i.e. Runbooks), including databases, schemas, tables, views, sequences, user account, roles, and object grants within Snowflake  

 

  • • Build Source-Target mappings for in-scope subject areas
  • • Design and provision initial data replication processes between AWS and Azure, Snowflake
  • • Build Project Backlog and establish Scrum cadence
  • • Validate Snowflake and Azure environment readiness
  • • Drive consensus and obtain BPX approval for go-forward
  • • Create data-ingest framework between ADLS and Snowflake
  • • Create and deploy Snowflake Staging layer to accommodate the in-scope subject areas
  • • Create and deploy Snowflake Operational Store data mode
  • • Create all pertinent documentation related to Delivery activities including Runbooks
  • • Iteratively enhance a metadata-driven ELT framework for Snowflake and DBT
  • • Provide validation results and coordination with BPX QA
