New Job Opening-Network Test Engineer

VERTEX IT Service is currently looking for a passionate Network Test Engineer who has extensively strong networks and Wi-Fi Protocol experience to join our engineering team. We need someone who has network protocol experience to set up routers and modems and test the API layers for the routers. A successful candidate should have practical experience of working with TCIP/IP, SNMP, and DHCP – Wi-Fi standards specially IPV6 and IPV4. Need someone to start ASAP. Please keep in mind that this is not a hardware test role and 802.11/802.11a is nice to have, but not required

Requirements

• BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Testing Certification ISTQB Advanced Level preference
• 3+ years’ experience on Cloud products and technologies – Cloud SQL, API gateways, ELK, ServiceMesh, Visualization tools
• 5+ years Experience working with TCIP/IP, SNMP, and DHCP – Wi-Fi standards specially IPV6 and IPV4.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Deep understanding of Linux Kernel
• Solid understanding of 802.11 specifications
• Proficient understanding of Networking terminology and components (e.g. DHCP, IP Routing)
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Proficient with network analysis tools, such as Wireshark, WiFi Analyzer, Heat Mapping Tools, PingPlotter)
• Solid understanding of the OSI model
• Proficient using JIRA for work management and reporting
• Experience with Test Rails is a plus
• Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements
• Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to provide coaching and counseling when necessary
• Ability to supervise and motivate others
Must Have:

• IPv4 / IPv6
• Wi-Fi background would be preferred.
